Opening and Closing Valves of All Types
Plarad’s success story is closely linked to the continuous development and optimization of its products. Whether in the pulp and paper industry, the petrochemical industry, or the water management sector, for example, high-performance, fast, yet easy-to-use tools are essential. That’s why we support our customers with our nutrunners not only in the production and manufacturing of fittings, pipes, and pipe fittings, but also when opening and closing valves. “Thanks to our close collaboration with our customers and our many years of experience with nutrunners, we have brought Plarad’s proven quality to the valve sector,” says Dirk Schröder-Cicak, product manager at Plarad. “With the DA2 motion, we meet all of our customers’ requirements for working in a way that is easy on the body while also being fast and effective.”
The Plarad DA2 motion battery-powered gate valve actuator is used to open and close valves such as butterfly valves, ball valves, or gate valves. With a maximum output speed of up to 118 rpm, maintenance of your valves is quick and easy. Thanks to the drive’s smooth start-up and stop function, it not only prevents torsional damage to spindles but also minimizes pipeline shocks that can lead to system damage or failure. And the DA2 is not only easy to transport but also simple to operate. “Our gate valve actuator can be used directly by the operator without extensive training,” explains Schröder-Cicak. “It’s ready for immediate use and requires no time-consuming preparatory work. That saves time and money.”
Depending on the application, the Plarad DA2 motion can be customized with additional accessories, such as the multifunctional handwheel clamp (universal for all standard handwheels, adaptable to 2–5 spokes), the side drive for axial offset with rising spindles, or an attachment for above-ground and below-ground hydrants.
